I live in kent. And i sometimes remind myself ( in moments of self pity ) that im lucky 2 do so. It is " the garden of england " the villages and towns in my area hav escaped the suffering and lifeloss that devastating freaks of nature can cause ( the 1987 hurricane a one off ) . And so have always felt safe to go about my life. But in the last few weeks in my working life i hav been made to feel that unless something ìs done to stop this free for all attitude that is growing with the youth generation then us mere citizens may just as well leave doors unlocked and give in and let them dictate 2 us as they seem 2 b doing in ther own homes! I speak as a mother of 3 boys the eldest in his 20s! Who believe me put me thru hell with worry in his teens and had a few evenings in a police cell himself. I still managed 2 install in them right from wrong and to respect and care for your fellow man not just " your own " and so 2 find myself having to lock my self in the shop i manage after a week long campaign of a gang of nasty chavs! Tirelessly threatning and swearing causing damage. Refusing to leave wen askd 2 do so because they hav been caught shop lifting in the first place! Not butting an eyelid when the police eventually turn up. The latest is fireworks being used as hand grenades at me! But woe betide have a go at them because it seems rather than apologise 4 ther childs shameful behaviour ther parents will threten u for daring to show authority 2 " one of ther own "
They get away with anythin now.
