Scandals. Controversial conference vote result

At one of the Liberal Democrat Party televised conferences during the leadership of Paddy Ashdown there was a motion (policy idea) initiated by a regular party member rather than the party leadership which proposed that it should become legal for fourteen year old girls to appear in hardcore porn made in The UK. The proposed change to the age restriction was debated by the party members and was passed rather than rejected when it was voted on by them. I remember the same femanist anti-porn campaigner who I mentioned much earlier in the section about Google saying on the BBC2 programme that she used to regularly appear on 'It's got nothing to do with the rights of the girls, it's because they want to see it!' and that was my own opinion also. Ashdown wasn't very pleased and I saw a brief clip of him at a later, smaller party gathering ranting about it. I assume that it was quickly removed from the list of Liberal Democrat Party policies despite the result of the membership vote.
