* ingredients *
BASMATI Rice = 400gram or (4 cups) ,
CHICKEN PIECES = 600 grams,
Chopped ONIONS = 400grams (3 big
ones), Chopped GARLIC = 8 to 10
cloves.
Chopped GINGER= 1 & half inch piece.
Lil bit Chopped TOMATO= 100 gram or
150 gram. MINT LEAVES= 30Gram.
CORIANDER LEAVES= 30Gram.
DRY POWDER= 2tbsp. RED CHILLI
POWDER half tbsp only. GARAM
MASALA POWDER= 1tbsp. Coriander
power 1 tbsp, turmeric powder half
tbsp only.
BAY LEAVES-2, plain Natural YOGHURT
1 cup, SAFFRON 3-4 Strands, MILK lil
bit Less than half cup. COOKING OIL or
Vegetable oil=40ml or 4tbps
BUTTER= 20gram. SALT TO TASTE (its
very important. Make sure u add salt
according to ur Taste).

* METHOD *
Wash the Basmati rice and Soak in
the water for half hour. Keep it aside
ok?
Now in big vessel or plate Mix Half of
the red chilli powder, chopped ginger
& chopped garlic, Turmeric powder,
Half spoon GRAM MASALA POWDER,
SALT (according to u) & YOGHURT. Mix
this all well & put Chicken pieces in
this for an 1 HOUR. Keep it aside
Now in small cup of warm milk ( thats
lil bit hot milk) Dissolve SAFFRON and
keep it aside.
Now HEAT OIL in a heavy Bottomed
PAN. Add 1 cup of Sliced ONIONS &
FRY until light golden Brown.
Now ADD Remaining half spoon of
GARAM MASALA Powder in the SAME
PAN. After few seconds ADD 1 cup of
sliced ONIONS & FRY until light golden.
Than Add remaining chopped ginger,
chopped garlic, chopped TOMATO,
coriander powder, turmeric powder, n
cook for 5Minutes.
Now after 5Minutes ADD all the
chicken which was soaking in all
masala's in a plate u kept. Now cook
till chicken is Tender.
Remember always cook on slow
stove gas or food might burn.
NOW in a deep baking dish arrange
alternate layers of Chicken & Rice.
Sprinkle SAFFRON dissolved MILK,
remaining Garam Masala powder,
MINT LEAVES, golden fried Sliced
ONIONS & BUTTER in between the
layers and on top. Finish with the rice
layer topped with SAFFRON.
Put rice & chicken...
