{Dream Catcher}

It is believed that dreams, both good and bad, float through the air all day and night searching for their destination. While sleeping under a Dreamcatcher, one may feel secure that all bad dreams being confused and ill-intentioned get caught in the web to perish with the first light of day, while the good dreams, knowing the right way, easily slip through the centre hole, and work their way down the web, catching all the energies of the stones and adornment, float down the feathers and into the dreamers head. One need never fear bad dreams again while sleeping under a blessed or smudged Dreamcatcher.

The origin of the dreamcatcher is said to have taken place a long time ago when a young Native American maiden was shown how a spider web was spun in a dream. She was then shown how to weave a web into the first dreamcatcher ever made. The maiden was told that this this object would be a special way to catch bad dreams and to strengthen the connection between creation (Mother Earth) and the spirit world.

Feathers fastened to a dreamcatcher are doing the important job of showing the good dreams the way to the dreamer and give them additional positive energy. Feathers themselves also show up in many of our dreams. This dream symbol can mean many different things depending on the dreamer. The most common interpretations of dream-feathers are those of feathers representing thoughts, messages, a victory or justice.
