Breastfeeding is the feeding of a baby with breast milk directly from other’s breasts (i.e., via lactation). Babies have a sucking reflex that enables them to suck and swallow milk. Most mothers can breastfeed for six months or more, human breast milk is the healthiest form of milk for human babies. Breast milk has right amount of fat, sugar, water, and protein thatis needed for a baby's growth and development.

Pros of Breastfeeding:

• During breastfeeding the mother will burn an extra 500 calories a day.So she can lose pregnancy weight quickly.
• If the breast feed is insleeping position, she can fall asleep.
• Breastfeeding createsa bond between you and your baby.
• It’s much easier than making a formula bottlein the middle of the night.
• Breastfeeding may stop your menstrual cycle from returning so soon.
• It helps to protect youfrom some breast and ovarian cancers.
• It helps the baby's brain develop. Some studies show that breastfed babies have a higher IQ.
• Your baby will cry less and have less colic.
• Breast milk is much easier for your baby to digest than formula.

Cons of Breastfeeding:

• Pumping milk is very difficult for working women at work place.
• Women may feel very tired because of the extra calories burned while producing milk.
• Your nipples may get sore from your baby attempting to latch.
• You may feel stressedor depressed if your baby doesn't latch correctly.
• If your breast gets too full with milk, they will leak. It can also be painful.
