Baby’s Clothing

Buying clothes for an infant and a growing baby is a bit challenging for many new parents because of the unlimited amount of baby’s clothing availablein the market. There are so many types of designs and so many fabrics available in baby clothes that choosing between them seems to be an impossible task at times. However, while buying clothes for babies, certain basic conditions should be kept in mind.
Babies’ clothes should be comfortable, pose no hazard to the baby (such as buttons that might be swallowed) and be suitable for his/her age as well. Babies grow out of their clothes quickly, so do not buy too many clothes at a time.

Some Tips on Baby Clothes:

• Baby’s clothes must be easy to put on, easily washable and above everything else, comfortable to wear.
• Always buy trousers or skirts with elasticized waistbands and shoulder straps, fora baby.
• Prefer buying clothes that can be stretched and have a wide neck, because they are easierto wear as well as takeoff.
• Avoid buying clothes that are adorned by lace, as babies can get their fingers caught in the lace.
• Always go for natural fibers as far as baby clothes are concerned, especially in summer season.
• Clothes that open in the front and have poppers are easier to put on as well as take off from the baby.
• Try to avoid buying clothes that have buttons, as buttons can get off and the baby might swallow them.
• Avoid clothes that have ties attached to them, as the ties can come off easily.
• Never ever opt for clothes that have roughstitching. They can be uncomfortable for the baby.
• Since babies tend to be picked up by so many people, so many times, it is best to go for clothes that do not need ironing.
