How the Groups were formed in Islam

How the Groups were formed in Islam

In the time of Mohammed (sal) there was just one Group, MUSLIMS and nothing more, they strictly adhered to Quran, and Hadees, the words of Allah and the ways of the Prophet (sal). It was only in later stages one by one Groups evolved. All these groups started with very good intentions, seeing the people ASTRAY they wanted to bring them towards the path of Allah, towards Quran and Hadees, but Ignorant people made it a group and also started to have their own set of laws and regulations, and it then began to be the set of laws for that particular group, what is surprising is the fact, that some of the laws formulated by these ignorant people are contradictory to Quran and Hadees. Take for example Hanafee (madhab) Imam Hanafee (rahmathullahi) seeing the people go Astray, from the right path, taught the people Quran and Hadees, and tried to bring them towards the path of Allah and His Messenger, and he clearly stated “ I am teaching Quran and Hadees to the extent I know them, if to-morrow you come across Quran and Saheeh Hadees, contradictory to my statement, throw my statement, and follow the Quran and Saheeh Hadees.” Here we should understand that the Imams did not have the Bound copies of all the Quran and Hadees as we have them to day, it was all in bits and pieces, manuscript copies, and they did not have the entire collection of the Saheeh Hadeeses. In later days people following Hanafee (Rahmathullahi) segregated into a different group, and also formulated their own laws along with the laws stated by Hanafee (Rahmathullahi) and classified themselves as the Hanafee group (sect), and they had their own set of laws apart from the Quran and Hadees. We should clearly UNDERSTAND here that Imam Hanafee (Rahmathullahi) did not form a separate group, nor did he advocate the forming of the Hanafee Sect; he was a true Muslim and did not belong to any segregated groups, so were all the four Imams. It was only the ignorance of the people who blindly followed Imams, who after the imam formulated a lot of innovations (Biddath) and included them in the laws of the Hanafee Sect. This is how most of the Imam’s came to be followed; and this is how the different sects came into existence; and all these sects came into existence nearly two to three hundred years after the Imams. The Imams by themselves did not segregate or advocate segregation at anytime of their life. It was only the ignorance of the people following him who segregated themselves into different groups or sects.

Similarly, take for example the Tabliq Group, Elias (Rahmathullahi) seeing the people astray put in his maximum effort to bring the people towards Allah and His Messenger, he started this movement in a place called Mayvat in the outskirts of Delhi, in north India. It’s a long story as to the hard effort he put in, to bring these ignorant people towards Allah and His Messenger, once he made these people understand the importance of deen (religion) he advocated to them the necessity of spreading the message amongst Muslims everywhere, and he said “ of what you don’t know of Quran and hadees, learn from others, and what you know of Quran and Hadees teach others, and go to every mosque, every town, every village, and keep doing this work, and do not expect any favours from any persons, but be self sufficient and keep doing this work”. He wanted to educate the Muslim public about Quran and hadees, had they strictly listened to him and followed his instruction, they would have done a wonderful work all over the world, their work would have been such, that even if Alims made a mistake, the common people would have been able to point out the mistakes in the light of Quran Ayyaths and Saheeh hadees, every one in Tabliq would have been great Alims, but unfortunately they threw aside his instructions, kept Quran and Hadees aside, and introduced their own books, which they revere much more than Quran and hadees, and keep going to places, and mosques reading the stories from these books, some of them even contradict Quran and Hadees. They don’t even know how Mohammed (sal) prayed, but they would say they are doing the work of Allah and His Messenger, what a pity. Quran and Hadees they know very little, but concocted tales they know plenty, and with a false assumption that they are doing the work of Islam they are cheating themselves and their followers. Sad to say, but they too have become one in the 72 groups that would be going to hell, unless they reform and once again come back to Quran and Hadees and adhere to it strictly. (May Allah give them Hidayath).

The Tabliq Jamath have made their Alims and Ulamas Allah, they blindly follow them, even if they say things contradictory to Quran and Hadees, there are innumerable examples of this in their (Taqleem) books which they revere and read more than the Quran and Hadees. This is because of their blind following of their leaders.

Allah says in the Quran:
O ye who believe! obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those charged with authority among you. If ye differ in anything among yourselves refer it to Allah and His Apostle if ye do believe in Allah and the Last Day: that is best and most suitable for final determination. (Al Quran – 4 : 59)

Allah says in the Quran, that one should follow Allah and His Messenger, and also our leaders (alims & ulamas) as long as they adhere to Quran and Hadees; but if there is a dispute, or doubt as to what they say then if we be TRUE MUSLIMS then it is our duty to come back to Quran and Hadees, and we are not supposed to obey our leaders if they go contradictory to Quran and hadees.

Now in South India there started a new movement strictly following Quran and Hadees, but unfortunately, they too have segregated into different groups, i.e : JAQH (Jamath al Quran and hadees) and Tawheed, now they are competing with each other, and the Tawheed group in some mosques does not allow the JAQH people to lecture (do bayan) in the mosque, this is how the Hanafee school and Shafee school disputed initially, but the problem is, both profess to be following the Quran and Hadees strictly. Though Allah says in the Quran:

And who doth greater wrong than he who forbiddeth the approach to the sanctuaries (Mosques) of Allah lest His name should be mentioned therein, and striveth for their ruin? As for such, it was never meant that they should enter them except in fear. Theirs in the world is ignominy and theirs in the Hereafter is an awful doom. (Al Quran – 2 : 114 )

It is not fitting for a Believer man or woman when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Apostle to have any option about their decision: if anyone disobeys Allah and His Apostle he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path. (Al Quran – 33 : 36)

(Be not among ) Those who divide their Religion and segregate themselves into Sects, each group rejoicing in that which they have!
( Al Quran – 30 : 32 )
Allah says in the Quran that each group exults in what they have and think that they are in the right path, but Allah warns the Muslims not to be amongst the groups who have divided themselves and have segregated into sects.

Allah and His Messenger both have strictly prohibited segregation, but these people (groups), throwing aside the warnings of Allah and His Messenger, still segregate into different groups.
Muslims, beware of all GROUPS AND SECTS, do not join them, But JUST BE A MUSLIM WHO HAS ACCEPTED ISLAM; and try as far as possible to convince people to be True Muslims alone. Groups there certainly will be, but as Allah and His Messenger have said, they would be all going to Hell, except one who would not segregate but would be Muslims alone, so you be a Muslim and follow the Quran and Hadees and be amongst the one who would go to PARADISE.
