Suppose your plan to use a tool only once. Consider renting the tool instead of buying it. Many hardware dealers rent individual tools or rent tool kits for the most common repair jobs.
If a tool will be used often, it is best you buy it, and when you purchase tools, buy the best. They cost less than the cheaper tools when you include a hidden expense. Poor tools need replacing again and again. But many firms that make good tools will replace any that are effective. Ask about guarantees before buying.
