Starting Over
by Elizabeth Brim

I can always start over again,
Remind myself that it wasn't meant to be,
Try to grow from this experience without being bitter,
Or allow silly insecurities to cloud my judgement,
That robs me of the pleasure of having you in my life,
And the dignity to let go and wish you well,
I'll try to go foward without looking back,
Or questioning why we could not make it,
No one comes out the winner in the blame game,
But I must admit it gives me pause to consider,
Will I make it out this door, fighting off temptation,
Of saying something stupid or a remark I'll regret,
So I'll go before your eyes cast upon mine,
I'll walk away a lady and alittle more dignified.

"OUR STARTING OVER." (Poem). Author: Stardust. (Written 3-17-2007).

To earn your love
Was a great competition.
For the unlucky ones,
It had been my own demolition.

Termination was then, my final decision.
Our starting over remained not easy.
Reaching to ending conclusions,
We´ve made our own evolutions.

To my surprise,
I was the winner of your heart.
To your loyal devotion,
I´ll stay and never part.
Our starting over is our true love.

Starting over again,
Do you think it's too late?
My life is spiraling down,
was everything just a stroke of luck?
Can I make it without the bottles helping hand?
Can I make it with out the rolling papers special mend?
