Hidden Track

This is the record that found us a home with Republic Records (then called Cheese Factory Records). I joined shortly after the release of this record and even appeared in the video for the song ´Mama Say.´ These songs were written in Daddy Long Legs´ basement, back when the band was overly fond of sampling. The man on the front cover is Grover, a man who worked for Jimmy Pop´s brother and was known to eat dog food. He is no longer with us, but we all think of him fondly. He often made appearances at early shows and in a drunken stupor could be found dancing with whatever young girl he could find. For the cover, he wasn´t posed or anything, it was just a very candid, very typical, day in the life of Grover. He personally modified his ´Where´s the Beef?´ shirt to read ´Where´s The Beer?´ The guy at the beginning of ´Legend In My Spare Time´ is Jimmy Pop´s friend Jerry Vangergrift´s dad; the same Jerry Vandergrift immortalized in ´I Wish I Was Queer So I Could Get Chicks´ for kissing Jimmy Pop in Home Ec class. The hidden track is actually a soundbyte from the movie ´Gourmet Zombie Chef From Hell.´ And yes, it´s really a movie. The bits on this disc are basically the same as those on Use Your Fingers, but they have different titles. The spine of this reads ´Bloodhound Gang´ while the cover says ´Blood Hound Gang.´ The parental advisory on the record even looks low budget. This record is out of print and hard to find, but every once in awhile copies can be found on eBay.
