For the practitioners of Yoga and meditation a balanced diet is also of utmost importance, one should always eat approximately about two hours before going to sleep at night. It is always advisable to drink about 10 to 12 glasses of water every day; it is also advisable not to drink water during the course of a meal, but about half an hour after you finish a meal. Again it is advisable not to eat till your stomach is full, keep something in reserve eat about 85% of your capacity.
Recommended Diet-Indian
Breakfast 7—9 am
1. Any fruit juice-Orange or Sweet Orange—1 glass
2. Any fresh seasonal fruit available—for example apple, mango etc.
3. One slice Cheese
4. Germinated gram—1/4 cup
5. Wheat bread with green vegetables or wheat Dalia or oat meal or corn flakes with milk and sugar
6. Egg either poached boiled or scrambled
Lunch 12—2 pm
1. Salad—tomato, cucumber, carrot, lettuce, radish etc as available with asprinkling of salt and lemon juice for taste---1 cup
2. Rice or chapattis
3. Pulses—mung, masur, matki, channa
4. Preferably green vegetable soup—1cup
6. Green or fresh vegetables
7. Saag-green leaves of any variety
Afternoon Snack 3—5 pm
1. Fresh seasonal fruit –1
2. Cheese—1 slice
3. Salted biscuits or any easily digestible snack
4. Tea, coffee or any health drink with milk and sugar—1 cup
Dinner 7—9 pm
1. Salad
2. Vegetable soup—1 cup
3. Pulses-moog, matki, urad etc.
4. Saag-any kind of green leaves
5. Chapatis
6. Fish or liver
