Word (werd) n. A meaningful sound which stands for an idea; a comment; a brief talk; an order or command. v. To express orally.

Yes, *Webster stated it accurately, but I think some people are uncertain what words mean. Words should, and DO, mean things! That´s the reason we should be careful what we say.
Words can help the wounded heart, or they can be used as weapons to wound the heart. And sometimes the same words can do both if the user has forgotten that words mean things. If you don´t believe what I am saying is true, I have **three words** for you: " I love you!".
Those three words have the power to heal, and the power to hurt, if said carelessly without feeling. Imagine that! Three words that can, and do, change everything. We need to remember the power of the words we use.
What are you saying?

*Webster´s dictionary
**Did you think the three words would be, "Go to hell"?
