First Rejection

Just tot I’d share this with You guys. This was Pre high School. Grade 2 to be Exact

I was pleasantly surprised when a new neighbor and her family moved in next door. She was tall cute and looked sweet. After several days of just staring at each other I finally picked up the courage to ask her out to play. I wanted to look charming so to whoa her. So I put on my big boots, wore a leather jacket on top my t-shirt and headed towards her house on my mountain bike. (Those types with 10 gears.)
Luckily, I met her playing outside with her baby brother. I walked up to her asked if she wanted to play. She agreed with a smile and let me teach her how to ride a bike.
Things were goin pretty well until I erroneously thought she’s good enough and let go of the bike. She rode some few distances without my support then suddenly lost control and came crashing down, hurting her knee in the process. I quickly ran up to help but she pushed me away. ‘This is your fault’ she said in pain lookin at her knee. ‘I never want to play with you again’. I felt really bad and apologized but she was really having none of it and told me to just go away. Her baby brother went in to get help so I turned away to leave to avoid facin her parents and probably getting some scoldin by them.
I walk really slowly away from her, rolling my bike until I got out of sight, then ran as fast I could, heading towards my home. Tears were starting to roll down my cheeks and I didn’t want anyone to see in that state. I came into the house, ran into my room, dived straight under my bed and began cryin my heart out..
Mom must have seen me runnin cos shortly after she came calling. ‘Iyke darling’ she called, I then crawled out of my bed. “What’s troubling you”? Sobbingly, I told her everything that had happened.
Those were the good ol’ days where I opened up to my mom but she later my no. 1 enemy in my teenage years. Lol.
Mom says, “If she dnt want to play with you, then leave her alone. U can’t be crying bcos of some silly girl u hardly even know. . You are too precious for that. She dnt know wat she’s missing out”. She told me in the future I may meet a lot girls like her that thinks that they are at the center of the world. .So, I had better start getting use to them now.
The next day, fresh from my moms’ advice, I knew exactly what to do...

Heyy friends what do you think of my mom’s advice. If you enjoyed my story and want to know what happened next, pls leave ur comments Below… :- ) thanks
