A brief overview of the 8 Sabbats that mark the Pagan Solar year.

Halloween/Samhain
The veil seperating the world of the living & the world of spirit is at its thinist. At Samhain the veil is held aside & the spirits of ancestors, loved 1s & family are invited to join thd celibrations. It is also the Pagan 'New Year'.

Yule/Winter Solstice
The shortest day of the year & the world is held in thd icey grip of winter. Although this is when Death is most apparant it is a celibration of life, from this time forth the days lengthen.

Festival of Light/Candlemas
To remember the warmth of the sun, a time oe hope & being with friends. Traditional to light candles to honour the Young God & encourage his growth & return (in his role as the sun)

Spring Equinox
The celebration of the rites of spring, the 1st signs of rebith are visible upon the Earth.

May Eve/Beltane
Sping celibration, the crowning of the May Queen etc.

Summer Solstice/Midsummer
The longest day of the year. The fertility of the divine couple (& the earth) are celebrated

Lammas/Harvst time
Celebration of the bounty of the year as the harvest is gathered. Also known as the feast of bread.

Autum Equinox
The Earth hs preparing for winter and the God becomes the Lord of the Hunt. A time of thanksgiving.
