The rites of Paganism are a celibration of life & the word esabat embraces the essence of this.
These celebrations are usualy held on or around the time of the full moon.

Blood Moon.
October,1st moon b4 Samhain. Colour red. Reflects the slaughter of animals for food through winter.

Snow Moon
November, pale blue-silver colour.
If not already fallen the snow is not far away & the Earth is ready for its slumber.

Oak Moon
Associated with the Dark Lord aspect of the Pagan God.

Ice or Wolf Moon
January,colour purple.
It is a legend of a time when the Earths waters were trapped in ice.

Storm Moon
February,colour blue.
It is the long awaited movement of the frozen waters.

Chaste Moon
March,colour white.
Reflects the release of Persephone from the Land of Death. The return of spring/life renewed.

Heralds the growth that will colour the earth.

(The colour of love)
Dedicated to the Goddess and fertility.

Dyad Moon
June,colour orange.
Dyad, means pair. Reflects the visible presence of the God & Goddess in the bright sun & green fields.

Mead Moon
July,colour yellow.
Last moon b4 harvest. Celibrated with song & dance.

Wort Moon
August,colour dark green.
Wort is a word used to describe the greenery of the Earth.

Barley Moon
September,colour brown.
Rises b4 the autum equinox.

Wine Moon
The odd moon of the year,colour burgandy.
This is when a 13th moon rises in a solar year. It is placed in Sept or Oct and honours wine, considered to be the 1st luxury given by the Gods.
