"So, what is your major?" "What do you want to do when you graduate?" "What field do you want to go into?"

These are just a sample of the questions I probably get asked on a weekly basis. I once heard a statistic that

the average college student changes their major approximately 6-10 times (or something around there...); and it

is therefore shocking to some that I have never changed my major of study. Could this be because I made a

lucky guess at what I really wanted to do with my life? I don't really think so.

This choice probably couldn't even be considered that of a full choice either. Someone once told me that a lot of

the choices we make in life are indeed not even choices at all! They are more a less a calling. You are "called" to

that area for some particular reason.

We probably all know someone (perhaps we are even that person) who is going to "take over the family business

one day". Or another who is going to be a doctor, simply because their dad was a doctor, and their grandpa

was a doctor...and so on and so forth. So this got me wondering, how many choices in my own life, were

indeed not even choices at all; they were more or less something I was "destined" to do
