DESCRIPTIONS
*#06# For checking the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI Number)
Shortcuts:
Save a Missed Call into your phone directory Scroll to "Missed Call", press "Yes" to display the required number. Press any number (i.e. 0 to 9), then press "clear" once to clear that number, then press & hold "<" until you see "Store". Press "Yes"
Hide your number when calling when you don't want the other party to know your number) After dialling the required number & before pressing "Yes", press ">" twice to choose "Hide Id?" & then press "Yes". Also works for pre-programmed & last dialled numbers just press "No" & wait for the number to appear on the screen first then follow same procedure
Check you battery level when phone is off Press "No" quickly one time & wait for the battery meter to show up!
Save a number into your phone memory (not SIM card) Follow normal procedures to store a phone number. When prompted to set a storage position, press "#" once & key in desired location, or press "#" twice for next available position
Call a phone number from SMS message You can call from within a SMS message if the phone number is written in it. Just scroll the message until the phone number appears on the display, then press "Yes" to call.

Nokia Mobile Phone Unlock & Hidden Feature codes :

These codes will work on most Nokia Mobile Phones to activate/deactivate advanced hidden functions that you can’t change through the phone menu

One useful function that all Nokia’s I’ve owned have is “Cell Info Display” which can usually be found in the phones “Display settings” (eg: in a Nokia 1600) or “Phone Settings” (eg: in a Nokia 3315)

If your network supports it, when “Cell Info Display” is enabled, it will display the name of the base station your mobile is currently connected to on the screen eg: when i’m walking around the city it says “Sydney CBD” and when i’m at home it displays the name of my suburb.

Note:
To display “p” press “*” three times within one second, To display “w” press “*” four times within one second, To display “+” press twice “*” within less than a second

Nokia Error Messages
Code error – appears if the unlock password entered is incorrect. You need to go through the whole process again, ensuring you enter the correct 10-digit code.

SIM was not restricted – appears if the handset has not been locked to a network. You should be able to use any SIM card in this handset.

Not allowed - If the syntax while entering the unlock password is incorrect, nothing happens. If you have tried to unlock the phone 5 times with an incorrect password any further attempts to unlock the phone will generate this message. The phone will need to be electronically unlocked at a Nokia service centre.

1. *#06# - This code is used for checking IMEI number , If your mobile is lost or stolen then you will need IMEI number of that mobile to register a police complaint . By this IMEI number police able to trace calls made from that handset . You can write down your IMEI number in your notepad and in your dairy may it help you in future .

2. PUK number - If we insert wrong PIN number more than three times than we receive this messages that Enter PUK number which means that our sim card is blocked . Many shopkeepers take rs 100 to 200 ($2 to $5 ) for this simple work . Just open your handset and write down your sim card number on one page and make one call to customer care ( like hutch user dail 111 ) and ask them for your personal PUK number , they will ask your sim card number and than give you that Puk number . Press for PUK code and than enter that Puk number . Now you have successfully unlocked your mobile sim card .

3. If you are purchasing second hand mobile than anyone of your friend can make you fool , they can repair and cover it with new mobile body , so before buying a second hand mobile try this code *#92702689# . This code will show serial number, month and year of manufacture, purchasing date , last time of repair .

4.*#0000# - This code is used to check the mobile software revision . After typing this code you will find result like this example ( result can be differ on different handsets) :-

V 5.62 -- This is software revision .
25-10-04 -- Date of software release .
RH-18 -- Phone type .

5. *3370# - This code activate Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) by this our phone provides the best sound quality but it reduces battery performance by 5%.

Tip 1 : Do u know how to use the edit button (abc or pencil button)?


Heres how... in the inbox for example; u wanna delete multiple sms, simply hold the edit button, scroll down, and then, press c to delete the marked sms. The edit button can also b used to copy and past text in sms, simply hold it and scroll across, choose copy. pretty good for placing song names in ngages
Tip 2 : Shit happens, on a smartphone, its inevitable u do something wrong, and tis calls for a format of fone. to format the fone, press *#7370#, then enter the lock code, which is the sec code of the fone. NOTE: batt must b full, else if format is disrupted by low batt, consequences will b disatrous
I heard the code *#7780# works too, pretty much the same i tink.
for 6600 users, to format the fone, theres an alternative way. Press and hold <3>, <*> and Call (Send) buttons, then power on fone, keep holding on the 3 buttons, till u come to a format screen. this method ONLY works on 6600, and ...
