=Complete Keanu=

The whole biography -

Keanu Charles Reeves was born on the 2nd of september 1964 in Beruit, Lebanon, to Samuel Nowlin Reeves (half Hawiian, half Chinese) and Patric Taylor (English).
There was then a move to Australia for a year where his sister Kim was born, in 1966, a second (half) sister, Karina was born in 1976.
Keanu means - cool breeze over the mountains, in Hawaiin for those who didnt know.
After his parents divorce Patric and Samuel went their seperate ways.
Patric and the two kids to New York, and Samuel to Hawaii.
Keanu visited his father in Hawaii from time to time untill he was thirteen. That was the last time he saw him. Samuel was sentanced in 1994 to ten years imprisonment for drug possesion. Samuel was parolled in mid 1996.
They do not mantain contact with each other.
In New York Patric met and married Paul Aaron. They moved to Toronto, and took up Canadian citizenship (which Keanu still retains) but split up less than a year later.
Keanu describes himself as - a middle class white boy, with an absent father, a strong willed mother and two beautiful sisters.
Patric had a few more partners and also moved around a bit. Her third husband was rock promoter Robert Miller (with whom she had Karina), and her forth was Jack Bond whom she divorced in 1994.
Keanu attended Jesse Ketchum Public School in Toronto from kindergarten through the eighth grade, and attended four high schools (including De La Salle college and the Toronto school for the performing arts) before dropping out completly at age seventeen.
Keanu took on many jobs including sharpening skates at an ice rink shop (hes an avid hockey player), landscaping, making pasta (and managing the place) then came some stage work - Wolfboy in 1984, his professional stage debut and some bit parts on TV. His motion picture debut was in Dream to believe, in Canada. But it was reportedly in thd 1986 TV movie Under the influence that earned him his SAG union card.
Keanus first big feature film debut was in a US film called Youngblood which he had a small part.
Keanu hit the road for Hollywood in 1986 with $3000 an old Volvo and his stepfather Paul Aarons address.
A few name changes followed as Keanu was considered by his manager to be exotic. They settled on KC Reeves, which was short lived. Keanu it was, and Keanu it stayed.
Keanu soon landed Rivers edge, arguably one of his best roles ever a string of movies followed (see filmography) as the troubled teen or misfit.
His parts continued to grow, he then started attracting the eye of more mainstream directors and landed films such as - Dangerous Liasons, Bram Stokers Dracula, Much Ado About Nothing, Little Buddah etc.
But it was the 1994 film Speed that really made everyone stand up and notice, this was his first mega hit grossing neary $300 million at the box office world wide. Figures like that catch the eye of any studio executive, and Keanu soon was reportedly being offered sums of up to $7 million for his services.
Keanu put various offers on hold to return to Canada and fulfill a dream playing the title role of Hamlet on stage. The reviews it received were mixed but generally kind.
Keanu then moved to doing a couple of films that did quite well Chain reaction etc. Then he was offered the lead role in Speed II but felt the script was not good so turned it down. Some say he made a terrible mistake. 20th Century Fox said at a press release that Keanu turned it down so he could tour with his band Dogstar, Keanu infact had other offers and took them. Suddenly the critics were saying how smart Keanu was for turning down Speed II.
Keanu then went to Australia to film the Matrix. No-one knew what to make of this but when it opened in 1999 it was a huge blockbuster and took Keanu straight to the top with an asking salary of $20 million per movie, he then filmed a couple more movies and in 2000 filmed three more - The gift, Hardball and Sweet November.
Recently the Matrix sequels filmed back to back.
