>Voices from beyond the grave<

The romantic ruin of Kilchurn Castle stands at the head of Loch Awe. It was once a fortress of the mighty Clan Campbell, Dukes of Argyll, whose lands these are, and many many ancient legends portray its turbulent past. A disturbing supernatural phenomenon that had terrified a young English couple who decided to camp for the night within the old castle's walls.
'After they had pitched their tent and eaten an evening meal the young man decided to climb the steps of the main tower and watch the sun setting over the still waters of the loch. As he stood facing the window he suddenly felt a 'presence' enter the room. Believing this to be his girlfriend, he didn't bother to turn round but started to describe various landmarks to her. Slowly an icy cold began to creep into the tower, as if it were seeping through the thick stone walls and an eerie, pleading voice whispered:"Let me go, please help me to rest in peace, let me go". He was overcome by fear. Then, just as suddenly, the voice fell silent, the temperature rose again and he dared to turn slowly and confront the intruder. But nobody was there. Running back down the steps he found his girlfriend cowering behind a wall. She, too, had heard strange voices that, in her own words, were not of this world. They fled in terror.'
