After the declaration, UNESCO takes the responsibility of maintaining sites- the shat Gambuj Mosque at Bagerhat, the Buddist Bihar at Paharpur and the Sunderbans. The Shat Gambuj Mosque was built by Khan jahan Ali, a powerful Muslim leader, in the 15th century. It is a very beautiful mosque. Though the mosque is called shat Gambuj Mosque, actually it has seventy-seven domes. It has twenty-five doors and many open arches. It also has a good Ventilation system. The mosque looks very simple from outside, but its inner western wall is beautifully decorated with terracotta flowers and leaves. It has become one of the greatest touris spots in Bangladesh. The secon World Heritage site Of Bangladesh is the Buddist Bihar at paharpur. It was built in the 7th century. It was an intellectual centre from the 7th century to 17th century for the Buddhists.
