El Priorato de Sion

The Priory of Sion

The passion and death of Christ are the central point of Christian faith since the earliest days of the Church. But what if instead of dying on the cross was married and had children? And if their descendants live in today?

The discovery of secret documents, a treasure or, as some have suggested, of mummified relics of Christ in the village of Rennes-le-Château, in southwest France, suddenly transformed into a millionaire priest rural poor. But that also launched a series of events that led to the discovery of a certain secret, if it proves to be true, the revelation is more important in the history of Christianity. Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln recount the story of the clues that led them to formulate their conclusions in his amazing bestseller \ "The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail " (The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail), published in 1982. The book has provoked reactions both as a rejection of enthusiasm among the readers. Critics such as conventional Predictably, have dismissed the claims of the authors considering an absurd fantasy, based on insubstantial evidence. But these comments are so unfair as false. Nobody can rule out the numerous good assembled evidence, which otherwise are presented with extreme caution. Rather it could be argued that these authors have underestimated the true extent and implications of the material they have gathered, and have overlooked many things. Having revealed the secrets behind a mystery even mayor.Los authors of the book presents evidence of the existence of an ancient mystery of international scope and a secret society with many layers and whose influence has reached today. The starting point of their research was a huge and mysterious hidden treasure; its final conclusion is the astonishing claim that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children. The descendants of those sons-believe-they mingled with other kings and rulers of ancient times, especially with the Merovingians, the first dynasty of French kings in Gaul, and there are direct descendants still awaiting a call or an opportunity for assume a decisive role in European politics, and possibly in the world. That, at least, is what the authors infer from the facts that have been discovered. The link between the Holy Blood and the Holy Grail that appears in the title of the book part of a clever play on words. The Holy Grail is a complex and mysterious. For some authors is a stone, for others a deposit of holy relics. But more often, it is the cup that Christ used at the Last Supper, in which drink their blood was collected when he was on the cross. In many of the earliest manuscripts on the Grail is called Sangraal and even in the later version of Malory appears as Sangreal. Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln allege that any of these forms Sangraal-or-Sangreal were closer to the original. And dividing them into two words, as seems logical to conclude that the word may not be original 'San Graal' or 'San Grail', but 'Sang Raal' or 'Sang Réal'. "O-as claimed triumphantly, using modern spelling, Sang Royal, that is, real blood." So the legend on the relocation of the Holy Grail of Judea to Europe is not about the legend of moving an object, but the true story of the arrival of the descendants of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, carrying the royal blood, or "sang real". It is, at least, an amazing scenario. But the hypothesis of the existence of these living descendants of Christ is a weak link in the chain of reasoning of the authors, a very unconvincing interpretation of the facts. It seems unlikely, for example, that in the dozens of generations that have occurred since the time of Christ has no offspring succumbed to the temptation to announce "I am a direct descendant of Christ." We found no trace of such a revelation in the last 2000 years , Nor any evidence of a robust real progeny. Instead, we have a lot of evidence and stories that relate tangentially to a central mystery and specific details, like the Holy Grail, speaking skulls and heads, the blood like substance and as a symbol, and alchemical wonders to some kind Society elderly or initiated. But although the authors are right about the survival of the descendants of Christ, the central mystery is broader and old. The story of Christ and the events surrounding it are only one piece (albeit an important piece, no doubt) from a mosaic whose scale is much bigger than it seems. Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln allege that the Knights Templar were among the most important repositories of secrecy. This society of warrior monks was formed around 1120, to protect the pilgrims who went to the Holy Land. With astonishing speed were transformed into a powerful military force and, additionally, the bankers of Europe. But his influence was eclipsed sharply on Friday night October 13 in 1307, when pursuant to an order of Philip IV of France all the Templars were arrested in that country. There were trials and punishments, and the order was suppressed by order of the pope, in 1312.Los authors have uncovered documents indicating that the Templars were the military wing of an alliance mystical oldest, called the Priory of Sion. This alliance, they said, was created and continues to exist for the purpose of protecting and promoting the interests of the direct descendants of Christ. The list of leaders of the Priory of Sion through the ages is impressive; includes Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo and Claude Debussy, and also a few French aristocrats apparently little importantes.Durante the trials that were subjected the Templars French in 1308, a member of the order stated that in his introduction he was shown a crucifix and told: 'Do not deposit a lot of faith in this, because he is too young. "At another he said:" Christ is A false prophet "and a third:" Do not think that Jesus, the man whom the Jews crucified in Outremer (Palestine) is God, or that can save you. "In addition to other specific allegations, the Templars were accused of denying, trample and spit out the cross. Taking into account this is perhaps significant that their decorations of the church of Notre-Dame de France in London in 1960, Jean Cocteau, who allegedly happened to Debussy as head of the Priory of Sion, is representing himself in the foot , With his back to the cross. And what is more, at the foot of the Cross painted a giant rose, symbol mystic whose seniority is lost in the mists of tiempos.Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln admitted that there is no satisfactory explanation of the rejection of the cross and the crucifixion by Part of the Templars. But do not recognize the serious weakness that this refusal means in their reasoning. If the Templars and their associates refused to cross and the crucifixion (for whatever reason), why would devote himself to preserve the secrecy of the physical descendants of Jesus Christ and restoring them in power? One possible explanation that the authors then pose is that anyone who died on the cross Jesus Christ was a fake, and that the real escaped. But that does not seem to be the tenor of the statements of the Templars: "Christ is a false prophet" and not "this was a false Christ." And how do you interpret the remark about the crucifix is "too young" to be the object of veneration? In fact, there are a lot of evidence showing that the concerns of the Templars were other, far more ancient and mysterious. The Templars were also accused, both by the Church as by persistent rumors popular, believing that the heads of Barbados and skulls that might worshiped in secret "to germinate and flower trees earth." This accusation may seem innocuous at first glance, but, in fact, strongly linked practices and traditions templarias with the older religions of pre-fertility, with things that were not "too young" to have real powers occultists. There are many other things that authors do not consider, for example the fact that the Templars shouted 'Selah' and other words "meaningless" when it fell to the head. "Selah" appears occasionally at the end of some verses from the Psalms, and scholars have suggested that it could be an indication for musical directors of choirs. But there is another possible explanation: would not it be a corruption of "Shiloh"?. Shiloh is an ancient site in the mountains near Jerusalem (the Templars were born in Jerusalem), which saw the old Jewish holy site and whose name appears in the Old Testament to tell the "Messiah". However, the same as Jerusalem and the Jewish Sabbath, Shiloh woman was seen by Jews, which is very significant. Betrayal and Fall The Knights Templar were handed a betrayal of the Inquisition, and simultaneously arrested on Friday, October 13 of 1307. Given the concern by medieval numerology, perhaps this is significant. And while those who attacked the Templars did not take into account such details superstitious, maybe somebody did. Because according to the authors argue, someone organized the downfall of the Templars, but warned them in advance and allowed them to destroy most of its files and to secure its enormous treasure and their sacred relics (including, perhaps, the shroud of Turin and the mummified head of Christ). Perhaps the Priory of Sion was interested in a given time to suppress its military wing in order to avoid greater evils: for example, to prevent the central mystery, the Treasury or its intentions in the long run prove destruidos.El number 13 plays a role significant in the mystery revealed by Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln. Based on the book of them, consider one of the many suggestions that shed light on the number. The records say that the Grand Master of the Priory of Sion from 1637 until 1654 was J. Valentin Andrea. Earlier that same-century movement Rosacruz a mysterious brotherhood who said to possess certain 'spiritual truths' - had announced their existence in Europe. Andrea was a rosacruciano practitioner, although he knew that for 200 years all heresies had been severely punished by the Iglesia.Andrea in Europe organized a network of semi societies, the Christian Unions, aimed at preserving some "knowledge" that the Orthodox Church considered heretical . Each of these unions was led by a "prince" anonymous, attended by 12 followers. This number, of course, immediately evokes the bands of witches -12 men or women led by a "family" or initiated, and the group formed by Jesus and his 12 disciples. A particularly fascinating that the authors cite is related to John XXIII. The fact that Angelo Roncalli took that name to be elected in 1959 is surprising, given that an antipope of the fifteenth century was also called John XXIII. After the death of Pope modern, Pier Carpi made the assumption that he had been a "brother Johannes" whose prophecies have been proved so successful. There ...
