BETWEEN THE MAGIC AND THE MYSTERY

LA CRUZ Caravaca BETWEEN THE MAGIC AND THE MYSTERY

Upon arriving in May, the small town of Murcia Caravaca de la Cruz, is another dimension. All caravaqueños turn in the development of prepared feasts each year. The traditional cross of Caravaca has risen to become a symbol of Christianity itself, to be a talisman, supposedly very powerful, used by sorcerers and healers esotericists.

For some, the cross appeared, simply because it was required to Murcia a miracle. The pious tradition dating back to us the thirteenth century. Specifically, until May 3 of 1232. The scene of the miracle, could not be other than the castle-fortress of Caravaca that has developed so much importance to the party, which had been installed - according to the official version - between 1230-1231 the Sayid Almohad of Valencia, Abu - Zeit
Among the prisoners Christians of Sayid, he was a priest, according to one version of Cuenca-called natural Ginés Perez de Chirinos, a true protagonist of the story, that when asked by his office, explained that his was saying mass.
It seems that this defense raised some curiosity in the Sayid, who asked him who officiates the ceremony to be aware of this ritual that it was so strange. Chirinos argued that without the appropriate elements was not possible to do, so you asked what I needed forgetting the most important thing: a cross.
And here is where the contradictions begin to emerge across this disturbing story, as it is known that the documentary sources were retouched. In fact, due to fires, wars and other calamities, not the originals are preserved, and not even first copies.
Whatever the case, the neglect of Perez Chirinos would lead to the first story writing. We found out that the cross is not among the items requested for the office of the Mass, Chirinos was saddened about, until they repaired the enigmatic appearance of a cross, he did change the mentality of Sayid, encouraging their conversion, for all its family and servants.
the mysterious cross, not only would have materialized if by magic, but that would have gone to their owner before several witnessed Are we talking about a teletransportación?

It should be noted a small detail, but relevant: despite the fact that many of the stories we can find, a little-buceemos in the history of the cross, we explained that it was brought up by two angels Caravaca, the truth is that it is known that the presence of these assumptions is an added heavenly messengers including by Dr. Oncada (canon of Avila) in 1540. This is one of those misleading to which we referred back lines. The narration "original" no talk of angels, by any ...
Thus, we placed the cross in two places at the same time, but did not explain how the relic arrived from Jerusalem to Spain. According to the version that includes the angels, the patriarch was about to crown the Emperor Frederick, when some angels fell from heaven and he won without the cross, making it appear in Caravaca. But this thesis, as we have argued, does not hold ... then what happened? Can we talk about a teletransportación? If we continue the tradition pious literally, we could say yes. However, there are other possible interpretations as we commented on the journalist Silvia Nieto, large knowledgeable everything on the cross: "... The most accepted theory about how she came to Caravaca is the cross that was brought by the Templars from the Church of the Veracruz de Segovia in 1234, when Alfonso X the Wise, prince yet, entrusted to the military defense of this area ...". If this theory were true, much of the mystery surrounding the relic would have been dismantled at a stroke, at least with respect to the supernatural character of the cross. There is this element for reflection ...
In any case, this enigma is possibly causing direct - like the Christians or not - that the Cross of Caravaca has been adopted by esotericists, healers and seers as a symbol star with some of the following legends in their possession: healed by wine, Cruz warned that the dangers, Mantica Support ...
The Cross of Caravaca that we can now contemplate is not true, since it was stolen from the sanctuary in 1934, shortly before the Civil War was taken over Spain. Who the theft and why is a mystery. One person who has investigated the matter further is the journalist Silvia Nieto, who knows the contents No 14 to dedillo, the summary that Beyond has had access. It is curious that in reality, as we explained Nieto are not two and a summary of existing ones. We ignore the reason for this particular. Maybe the war made it necessary to open another, or perhaps, is wanted from the beginning that there was a parallel synthesis?

There are several scenarios that are on the theft:

- A common theft. The thesis is less consistent since the thieves did not take the box of silver who cherished the cross, as well as a cover satin with precious stones. It seems obvious that this was not an entirely mobile economy.

- A theft from the Freemasons. The cross was stolen as an object of worship and / or to exert political pressure on the people. Came to specify that the object would have left Spain bound for Mexico. What is certain is that at the time of the robbery, the introduction of the Masons was very strong throughout the region of Murcia. Caravaca de facto existed in a Masonic lodge, La Luz del zenith.

- A burglary Templar. They were modern that knights of the Temple sustraerían the relic as an object of great value esoteric.

- A theft from the Vatican. According to this theory, the Vatican, before the political situation that was coming into the country, decided to steal the cross to preserve it from all evil, with the intention of returning it later. This theory was supported by Fernando Sebastian de Erice, a diplomat caravaqueño since died. He always believed that the visit in 1984, a Nuncio of His Holiness, was related to the incident of 34 years, though, do not go unnoticed that the relic was never returned.

It should be noted that all matters relating to the cross erected and still today, rose blisters, as evidenced by the fact that the investigating judge is inhibiting the case at the rate of receiving death threats. His deputy Manuel Martinez Alcaine was killed by a gunshot.
