New Kane Theme

Kane's Re-Masking Signal the Start of His Last Run?

• • •
We don't know much about him other than he is now masked and secretive again. He breathes fire and rage, but other than that, we really don't know his true purpose. But we do know that whatever the case or situation is, Glenn Jacobs, the man behind the mask, is still one of the most feared men in professional wrestling.
• • •
Does the mask, the one thing that keeps Kane true to the character that we have come to "understand," signal the last hurrah for the 44-year old wrestler?
• • •
For 14 years, Kane has been a mainstay, main-event star feuding with every major star in the WWF and WWE. He has risen from the dead, come back from the grave, sustained multiple injuries in his career and has always come back stronger and better than before.
• • •
But as we have witnessed with the likes of The Undertaker, how many more lives do Jacobs and his character have?
• • •
Kane returned after being "injured" at the hands of Mark Henry, who took out both Big Show and Kane while destroying every wrestler in his path. Big Show returned recently and gained the World Title at Tables, Ladders and Chairs before falling to Daniel Bryan.
• • •
Could Kane have that kind of impact as well? Could he have one last run in him, coming to a culmination of the character being remasked? Does Paul Bearer figure in all this? What is his status in terms of title contention, and will he face someone like John Cena (as evident of what took place on Raw last night), which would be an awesome feud or set his sights on CM Punk or someone not revealed yet (Mason Ryan?).
• • •
Kane has been such a big part of the WWE and its development over the years, but in cases like Triple H, Steve Austin and soon Undertaker, the older characters will move aside for the younger talent.
• • •
Maybe this is Kane's way of coming full circle and adding closure to a tremendous WWE career.
